NOC Lead

The NOC (Network Operations Center) Lead will manage the team of NOC operators. The NOC Lead reports directly to the Manager Global Data Center Support.

Responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling of the NOC Operators.
  • Write procedures for the operators, implement these and make sure that they are followed by the NOC operators.
  • Manage the European NOC playbook.
  • Training for the NOC Operators
  • Administers in a correct and timely manner all executed work in accordance with all process and procedures.
  • Administers work (NOC Operators schedule, work hours etc.)
  • Informs the Manager Global Data Center Support of performed work and any noteworthy items.
  • Reports all incidents in accordance with procedures.
  • Works effectively and efficiently with others inside the organization.
  • Has regular meetings with the Manager Global Data Center Support to update on all work in the NOC.
  • Support the datacenter management and Chief Engineers in their (administrative) tasks.


The NOC Lead is responsible for the team which monitor 24/7/365 the technical installations and infrastructure on the European Datacenters (air-conditioning, UPS, generators, power usage and temperatures)

Job requirements –

  • Relevant work experience in a datacenter or other critical environment
  • Skills (knowledge, personal qualities)
  • Availability to work in shifts as NOC Operator back up
  • Good oral – and written communication skills (English + 1 or more other language(s))
  • Organizational skills
  • Understand the common technical principles of a datacenter
  • Strong ability to diagnose issues and starting issues
  • Knowledge and experience with ticket systems
  • Team player
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
  • Strong didactic ability.
