Network Operations Center Operator

In close consultation with the Network Operations Center Lead (NOC Lead) (Lead, engineers and datacenter management, the Network Operations Center Operator (NOC Operator) will monitor the technical installations of multiple datacenters. You will continuously monitor the ticketing system, and as soon as there is a deviation, as a NOC Operator you will the know how to act correctly, in accordance with the prepared manual. Any faults and/or deviations are therefore accurately noticed and logged by the operator in the ticket system.

The NOC Operator is responsible for the 24/7/365 monitoring of the technical installations and infrastructure on the European Datacenters of client (air-conditioning, UPS, generators, power usage and temperatures). The role will report directly to the NOC Lead and will be supported by other colleague NOC Operators.


  • Monitoring systems and technical conditions of the European datacenters
  • When a problem impacts the systems the NOC Operator troubleshoot the problem
  • Escalate alarms, problems and incidents conform escalation matrix
  • Conform to the EMEA NOC playbook
  • While responding to alarms and incidents the NOC operator carefully track and monitor resolutions in detail conform procedures
  • The NOC Operator is responsible for updating and monitoring incoming tickets
  • Support and maintain daily and weekly performance dashboards according to requirements from Chief Engineers
  • Act on customer remote hand requests through the ticketing system
  • Monitor Method of Procedure tasks and responsibilities for several datacenters
  • Administration tasks in accordance with instructions from the NOC Lead

  • Highschool or College Degree
  • Basic Safety Course (VCA “Veiligheid gezondheid milieu Checklist Aannemers”)
  • Relevant work experience in a datacenter or other critical environment
  • Availability to work in shifts
  • Good oral – and written communication skills in Dutch and English (required) (
  • Organizational skills
  • Understand the common technical principles of a datacenter
  • Strong ability to diagnose issues and starting issues
  • Knowledge and experience with ticketing systems
