General Laborer

About the Job:

The general laborer’s primary responsibility is to complete all tasks as directed by the Data Center Manager with minimum supervision and to report any condition affecting building services or potential safety issues. Specific areas of responsibility include data center services, preventive maintenance, business-critical process, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.

• Complete planned and ad-hoc preventive maintenance work assignments.

• Conduct periodic inspections of building systems, i.e. maintain equipment rooms to ensure clean and safe conditions.

• Conduct routine maintenance in regard to filter management and site vegetation control.

• Have a complete working knowledge of creating, closing, and tracking “work orders” (WO). Initiate or respond to work orders, follow-up and verify completion of work

• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Supports the delivery of data center services and deployment of additional services.

• Supports offsite points-of-presence at remote locations and aids in operations, and maintenance of infrastructure

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to Lift over 50lbs

• Ability to bend and kneel for extended periods of time

• Ability to climb ladders and access compact spaces. Color perception is necessary to perform certain critical aspects of the job

• May be required to work day, evening or night shifts, weekends and holidays.
