Data Center Structured Maintenance Technician

As a Data Center Structured Maintenance Technician , you will travel to our client’s locations to set navigation tape and geo markers down within the contracted time frame. You will follow instructions given by supervisor to measure work area and layout navigation tape and geo markers. Once navigation and geo markers are laid out, you will refer to blueprints to confirm layout matches.

This is a unique opportunity to obtain employment in the Data Center industry while getting to travel throughout the US. The contracted times for these projects are about 6-8 weeks and will allow the opportunity for a weeklong break period in between them. Travel expenses such as airfare, lodging, and a car rental to share with your team are covered by Salute as well as a $45 per diem. On travel days where there is no hourly wage earned, you will be compensated in the amount of $165.


  • Review blueprints and confirm layouts, following instructions provided by supervisor. Measure area and layout provided Navigation tape

Measure and layout provided Geo Markers

  • Operates and maintains equipment, facilities, and systems as needed and/or as assigned to ensure a safe environment. Accurately records and reports work performed. Adheres to trade practices and codes.
  • Accesses roof areas, basements, equipment rooms, tunnels, crawl spaces, and other minimally accessible areas regularly. Responds to facility work requests to minimize facility damage
  • Performs general industrial maintenance including installation of appropriate equipment and devices to ensure proper operation,. (Maintenance can include service and/or repair work on plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, motors, pumps, electrical systems, pneumatic tube systems, lighting, flooring, window coverings, walls, and other systems.
  • · Obtains and delivers supplies and materials. Performs custodial services in facilities areas daily. Performs snow removal as needed. Assists with moving equipment.


  • Able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
  • Experience operating heavy-load movement equipment (pallet jacks, chassis lifts, etc.)
