About the job
The Hardware Technician is responsible for monitoring the data center infrastructure. As a Hardware Technician, you’ll install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (like servers and its components) and server software. You’ll also take on the configuration of more complex components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches and networking protocols.
•Collaborate and partner with people and teams to overcome challenges.
•Contribute to and lead efforts and projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of current and new data center infrastructure.
•Participate in or lead complex troubleshooting and resolve critical or escalated technical issues.
•Test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs.
•Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS-related issues on servers.
•Experience with operating systems and networking protocols
•Experience with computer hardware and server hardware or troubleshooting/diagnosing
•Experience collaborating and partnering with teams
•Experience in maintenance and monitoring of server systems
•Experience soldering components / processors to motherboard
•Experience working with crypto mining servers a plus
•Experience with Foreman Miner Monitoring software a plus
•Experience working within a data center or network operation center environment
•Experience with troubleshooting hardware and network issues using Linux tools
•Experience with light coding, scripting and data query, analysis and presentation
•Experience in project leadership and project management
· Ability to Lift over 50lbs
· Ability to bend and kneel for extended periods of time
· Ability to climb ladders and access compact spaces.
· Color perception is necessary to perform certain critical aspects of the job
· May be required to workday, evening or night shifts, weekends and holidays.
